Texas Rig Equipment

Texas Rig Equipment is a family-owned and operated company—re-established in 2016. Originally founded in 2009, Texas Rig Equipment only worked on one type of pump. Responsible Minerals Sourcing Policy

  1. Purpose and Scope

At Texas Rig Equipment, LLC, we are committed to sourcing minerals in a manner that is ethically, socially, and environmentally responsible. This policy outlines our commitment to responsible mineral sourcing practices, ensuring that the minerals we use are not contributing to human rights violations, environmental degradation, or conflict financing.

This policy applies to all minerals and materials that are sourced by Texas Rig Equipment, LLC, including but not limited to tin, tungsten, tantalum, gold, and cobalt (commonly referred to as “3TG” minerals) and any other materials that may pose sourcing risks.

  1. Commitment to Human Rights

We are committed to upholding the highest standards of human rights in the mining and extraction processes. Our goal is to ensure that our mineral sourcing does not contribute to child labor, forced labor, human trafficking, or unsafe working conditions in any part of the supply chain. We aim to support workers’ rights, including the right to fair wages, safe working environments, and respect for labor rights.

  1. Conflict-Free Sourcing

We will make every reasonable effort to source minerals from conflict-free regions and suppliers. We will not engage with suppliers whose mineral sourcing supports or finances armed conflict, particularly in regions that are subject to international sanctions. This includes regions identified under the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act and the OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals.

We will actively support the implementation of supply chain traceability and transparency, encouraging the use of responsible smelters and refiners. We will work with suppliers who share our commitment to these principles and who can demonstrate their efforts to avoid sourcing from conflict-affected and high-risk areas.

  1. Due Diligence and Risk Management

We will conduct due diligence on our mineral supply chains and assess the risk of human rights abuses, environmental harm, and conflict financing in our sourcing practices. We will use the OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals as a framework for this process.

Our due diligence process will include:

  • Identifying and assessing the risks of sourcing minerals from conflict-affected and high-risk areas.
  • Mapping our supply chain to trace the origin of the minerals we use.
  • Engaging with suppliers to obtain assurances of responsible sourcing practices.
  • Requiring suppliers to provide documentation, certifications, and reports regarding the ethical and sustainable practices they follow.

In the event that a supplier is found to be engaged in irresponsible sourcing practices, we will take corrective actions. These actions may include seeking alternative suppliers, requiring improvements, or discontinuing the business relationship if necessary.

  1. Environmental Responsibility

We are committed to minimizing the environmental impact of our supply chain. This includes ensuring that minerals are sourced in a way that minimizes environmental damage, including deforestation, water pollution, and habitat destruction. We will prioritize sourcing from suppliers who follow responsible environmental practices and comply with local and international environmental regulations.

  1. Supplier Expectations and Collaboration

We expect all of our suppliers to uphold similar standards of responsibility in their sourcing practices. We will collaborate with our suppliers to encourage continuous improvement in ethical sourcing, transparency, and traceability of minerals.

We will seek to build long-term, sustainable relationships with suppliers who share our commitment to responsible practices. Suppliers will be required to provide evidence of their compliance with responsible sourcing standards, including third-party audits or certifications where applicable.

  1. Reporting and Transparency

We will publicly disclose information about our responsible minerals sourcing efforts, including details of the minerals we source, our due diligence activities, and any challenges or risks we face. We will regularly report on our progress and be transparent with our stakeholders, including customers, investors, and the general public.

We encourage feedback from stakeholders and will work collaboratively to address concerns or potential issues related to mineral sourcing.

  1. Continuous Improvement

Texas Rig Equipment, LLC is committed to continuously improving our responsible mineral sourcing practices. We will regularly review this policy to ensure that it aligns with industry best practices, regulatory changes, and the evolving needs of our stakeholders. We will engage in ongoing training for our team members and suppliers to enhance our ability to identify and address sourcing risks.

  1. Compliance with Laws and Regulations

Texas Rig Equipment, LLC will comply with all applicable laws and regulations related to the responsible sourcing of minerals, including international regulations such as the OECD Due Diligence Guidance, the Dodd-Frank Act, and the European Union’s Conflict Minerals Regulation.

  1. Conclusion

By adhering to this Responsible Minerals Sourcing Policy, Texas Rig Equipment, LLC is committed to promoting ethical, sustainable, and conflict-free practices in the sourcing of minerals. We believe that our actions will contribute to the protection of human rights, the environment, and the communities affected by mining activities, while ensuring a responsible and transparent supply chain.
